MapleStory M is Nexon's Most Up-to-date effort to bring the MapleStory MMORPG into Android. They'd tried previously in 2015 with the release of Pocket MapleStory, but fans of the PC version were not too happy with the changes made to the game and its own god-awful controls. Back in October of 2016 MapleStory M premiered in Korea, but there was no word regarding a English release Buy Maplestory Mesos. Well, it seems like we know for certain that an English version is coming stateside as a public beta is on the Play Store right now.

Now, 1 thing you will want to keep in mind is that the recent English record of MapleStory M will just be accessible on the Play Store until January 30th. So if you would like to jump into the MMORPG gameplay, then you should do so post haste, since the clock is counting down. It's also worth pointing out that the game's servers will soon be wiped after this beta is finished, therefore any progress you make in the sport is going to be lost when it's officially published. Fortunately any in-app purchases that will definitely be in the final release are not active for this beta, so there's no way to lose any money while analyzing out the title.

If you are not familiar with MapleStory, it is an extremely popular Korean 2D MMORPG that has been available on PC since 2003. Yes it is super grindy, and yes it is very pay-to-win, but that has never seemed to prevent any of its fans. In terms of what sets MapleStory M apart from its PC predecessor, nicely, not too much, and that is a fantastic thing. Sure, there are a couple quality of life enhancements for easier touchscreen controls. One of these is the addition of an auto questing button at the top left of this screen, just like you would expect to find in the majority of cellular MMOs on the market. Of course, any auto features are optional, which means you are free to play how you enjoy, which is very good for those people who plan on playing manually.

Oh, also if you're counting on any sort of controller support, the current beta does not have any such attribute. Maybe this will be added in later, but that is probably a stretch because the game has been available in Korea for a bit over a year now, and so much as I know, it doesn't have controller support either.

Overall, I must say I was amazed to see MS2 Mesos show up on the Play Store having an English version. I'm even more excited because it is indeed a lot closer if not nearly precisely the same as the PC version. Sure that the super grindy gameplay won't be for everybody, and there is no doubt that Nexon will probably be nickel and diming its fans once the game's IAPs are dwell in the final product. But even with all the regular complaints, there's something quite endearing about the sport that's tough to just shrug off.
